Pensans Presentation (2005)
An oversized explorer sat on a small chair on the beach, surrounded by maps, found objects, signals, music, and fragments of imagined journeys. Through spoken word, gesture, sound, and improvised actions, the performer drifted between memories, imagined places, and possible futures. Language became fragmented, while familiar systems of communication gradually lost their certainty. Set beside the sea, the work reflected on travel, exploration, and the ways we attempt to navigate both the physical world and our own experience. Maps, objects, gestures, and symbols all pointed towards meaning, but never fully arrived there, leaving the audience to construct their own path through the work.
